RCIA/RCIC or Rite of Christian Initation for Adults/Rite of Christian Initation for Children is the process of becoming a Catholic. It begins with extended evangelization (forming a relationship with Jesus Christ), catechesis (learning about the faith), and spiritual formation (deepening of faith) in the Roman Catholic Church.
Traditionally the RCIA/RCIC process begins in the Fall, when Faith Formation classes begin, and continues through out Lent ending at the Easter Vigil on Holy Saturday when the candidate stands before the Parish and declares their desire to become Catholic. They are then Baptized, receive First Holy Communion and Confirmation becoming a fully initiated member of the Roman Catholic Faith.
Adults and children are welcome. For more information on RCIA/RCIC please contact the Parish Office at 952-955-1458 or the Faith Formation office at 952-955-7810.
