"Confirmation perfects Baptismal grace; it is the sacrament which gives the Holy Spirit in order to root us more deeply in the divine filiation, incorporate us more firmly into Christ, strengthen our bond with the Church, associate us more closely with her mission, and help us bear witness to the Christian faith in words accompanied by deeds." (CCC 1316)
Confirmation for youth typically takes place in 10th grade, after students complete two years of preparation. Our program is designed not only to prepare each student for Confirmation, but to give them the tools they will need to continue to grow in their faith for the rest of their lives. Through a combination of classroom lessons, service projects, spiritual retreats, and personal prayer, students are led to a deeper relationship with God, so that they can confidently and whole-heartedly stand before the bishop at their Confirmation, seeking the gifts of the Holy Spirit and a strengthening of the grace conferred at Baptism.
