CELEBRATE THE GIFT OF LENT...
Click HERE for the Lent and Holy Week Service Schedule.
Lent is the Church's gift to each of us to help us to prepare for the feast of Easter, and for the final feast of Heaven. Celebrate Lent by trying these suggestions:
Abstain and refrain - abstaining from your favorite food or activity can free you to spend more time in prayer
Refresh and renew - Jesus created the sacrament of Reconciliation so that we could experience God's unlimited mercy. There is no better time to experience His mercy than during Lent.
Live with less - Lent is great time to reorganize our priorities and give our excess to the poor.
Lenten Regulations: The Church calls all to prayer, fasting and almsgiving through this holy season. Of particular note:
Ash Wednesday and Good Friday - Those are days of fast (for persons ages 18 through 59) and abstinence from meat (for all who are age 14 or older)
Fridays - All Catholics are to abstain from meat on Fridays during Lent.
Lent begins Ash Wednesday. A way to add prayer to your Lent is to attend EUCHARISTIC ADORATION from 4pm to 5pm on Fridays and STATIONS OF THE CROSS at 5:15pm.
May God bless you with a holy and prayer filled Lent!
