Elim Home
Not just a place for old folks
Meet the stories behind life in Watertown. Individuals, families, action groups, youth groups, Sunday school classes can volunteer once a week, once a month, or whatever fits into your life.
Do whatever you feel most comfortable doing.
With individual residents:
- Read to someone, quilt or crochet, do jigsaw puzzles, or play games.
- Adopt a grandparent – visit with one resident on a regular basis. Chit-chat, play games, manicure, what you both decide you like to do.
In a group:
- Play a musical instrument or sing. Read stories of the “golden days”.
- Bring children to visit.
- Assist with activities, including Sunday worship, from 9:30 to 10:00 am.
