Welcome to Immaculate Conception Church Minimize

Welcome to Immaculate Conception Church!

Watertown, MN

ICC is a Catholic Community alive and growing in the spirit of Christ.  We are dedicated to living the Eucharistic Life of daily prayer and serving Christ in each other. We are committed to the ongoing formation of each member of this parish family through sacred scripture, the Church's teaching, and sacramental celebrations. In response to God's grace, we serve the physical and spiritual needs of our neighbor.

We believe this requires:

  • Respect for the life and dignity of every person from conception to natural death.
  • Compassionate outreach and evangelization.
  • A commitment to work for social justice.

Immaculate Conception Catholic Church is a vibrant Christian community that is rooted in Tradition and growing in Faith. Explore our Web site and discover the many ways its members are involved in the liturgical life of the Parish. Visitors are always welcome to attend our services. Call our Parish Office for more information. 952-955-1458

Immaculate Conception Church can trace its roots back to 1857 when the first Catholic settlers arrived.  Watertown was first visited by a priest in 1859.  The parish was called Immaculate Conception in 1863 when the first church was built.  May 14, 1882 marks the beginning of the written records of the parish.  Religious education is offered to children in Grades K-12.  Members can enjoy fellowship through the Youth Group, Children's Choir, Contemporary Choir, Adult Choir, Bell Choir.  Each year people look forward to the church's Fall Festival, the 3rd Sunday in September.

Parish Council Elections will take place to first weekend of June (4 & 5). Please see below for a short bio on the 3 candidates for this year's election:

Judy Costello:  My name is Judy Costello and I am interested in serving on the Parish Council at Immaculate Conception Church (ICC). I have been a parishioner of ICC since 2009, when my family moved to Watertown from Waconia. I became a third grade catechist in 2011 to participate in my children’s religious education and continue to find the experience to be most rewarding. I also chaperone at youth activities and help on occasion with funerals. My children, Colleen, John and Eric, also participate at ICC in the bell choir, as an altar server, and help at church events. It has been a great experience at ICC for my entire family and I want to contribute to the work of the parish by serving as a council member. In my daily life, I am a homemaker and care for my family and our hobby farm with animals. I am a past president of the W-M Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) and have volunteered regularly at the Elementary School. My background is in engineering with a Mechanical Engineering degree from the University of Minnesota. I worked in the commercial HVAC industry for seven years before raising a family.

Rachelle Grimm: I moved to Minnesota from Upper Michigan in 2000 for a job at Ameriprise Financial, where I currently still work.  I met my husband Jon in 2004, and that is when I joined the parish here at Immaculate Conception.  Jon & I were married in 2006 and have three beautiful, sassy girls, Hattie, Winnie, and Mollie.  In 2009 I began volunteering by teaching 8th grade religious education and continued that for four years. Since then I have served on the religious education board the last three years and substitute teach when needed.  I would love to continue to serve others by being on the parish council.  I want to help continue to have a vibrant church for my girls to grow up in and believe the best way is to continue to get more involved and help as I can.

Amy Hilgers:  I have been a member of Immaculate Conception since 1999 along with my husband, Jeff.  We have two children, Isabella and Zackary who are also members of the parish and participate in Religious Education.  I am currently a Religious Education teacher and Lector in the parish.  I work at KleinBank in the Risk Management Department where I have been for 18 years. I want to be on the Parish Council because I believe it is everyone's duty to serve in some way.
